I'm a poet, teacher, performer and creator of public art that reconnects stories to whenua and wai. My poetry was first published at Te Aro Pā in my exhibition, the Magical Māori Mystery Tour of Wellington, which was exhibited in the Courtenay Place Lightboxes . My first poetry book, The Ani Waaka Room, was published by Te Tākupu at Te Wananga o Raukawa. I also write and perform as a member of Te Aro Pā Poets with my whanaunga Hana Buchanana and Rachel Buchanan.

I have a Tāhuhu Ahunga Tikanga (Masters in Māori Laws and Philosophy) from Te Wānanga o Raukawa, and an LLB from Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington.
